I'm "LadyH". I love my family, and I aim to create a "safe place", a haven, for them-in the way I interact with them and in our home. I enjoy hunting for new books to read, drinking a hot "cuppa" coffee or tea, writing, finding educational activities for our family, anything linguistics, walking all over town, and going on new adventures. I also might have a tiny addiction to Pinterest!
"Hero" is my handsome husband. We have been through so much together, and I love this man! He works really hard, serves our country honorably, and takes good care of our family, but he likes playing video games or just hanging out at home w/ us in his spare time. To me, he is that rare combination of a natural athlete and a geek. If I fall asleep on the couch, he will carry me up the stairs to our bed, and I love watching him run. ;) But he's also been known to watch documentaries and read books on quantum physics "for fun".
We have a 3 year old son together, "Little Man". He's our little miracle boy-having survived being born premature w/ gastroschisis! He is intelligent, cute, and rambunctious! He always has a million questions or a unique observation to share. Favorites: anything w/ wheels, learning Spanish, finding ways to be a "superhero", running/climbing/jumping everywhere, and making lots of friends.

We recently added a new family member...Hamtaro the male Syrian hamster! He has black and white fur and the cutest little pink paws. He loves running on his wheel, climbing over his rainbow bridge, stuffing his cheek pouches with treats from Little Man, obsessively cleaning himself, and burrowing in his bedding. (Fun fact: In the wild, hamsters can run 5 miles in one night. That's why our hammy loves his wheel!)
